Manu Jain
Manu Kumar Jain is the Global Vice President of Xiaomi and also the Managing Director of Xiaomi India. He was born in 25th January 1981. He was also the co-founder of India’s one of the most popular fashion & lifestyle e-commerce portal known as Jabong.com.

Manu Jain is the Global President of Xiaomi and Managing Director of Xiaomi India. He played a major role in bringing Xiaomi to India and making it a best-selling brand within a few years of launching operations.
Manu Kumar Jain was born in 25th January 1981 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He had immense interest in studies especially in Technology from the very beginning of his life.
Education
He had done his 11th and 12th from science stream (Non-Medical = PCM) and after that perused his B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi which was completed in 2003.
Later he perused an MBA in Management from ESCP Business School in 2006. Simultaneously he also perused PGDM in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta back in 2005 to 2007.
Career
After completion of his B.Tech from IIT Delhi, he started working with Headstrong as a Senior Associate where he used to code and develop software solutions for Investment banks. He worked there for 2 years and left this job in May 2005.
Post this job, he started working at Tata Administrative Services as a Summer Intern where he worked with Tata Tele Services for planning their national rural operations. He worked here as an intern for only about three months and joined McKinsey & Company after completed his PGPM from IIM Calcutta as an Engagement Manager in 2007 and worked here for about 4 years and 8 months and left in December 2011.
He also had an interest in creating cartoon characters. So he co-created a cartoon series named “DINK Couple” inspired by their real-life experiences between August 2011 and December 2012 at Bangalore.

Entrepreneur Journey
(Jabong and Xiaomi India Experiences)
Finally, in February 2012, he co-founded a company called Jabong.com, an eCommerce platform for various fashion and lifestyle products and it became a big hit. He came in limelight and a lot of people started knowing about him.
When he was working at Jabong, he saw a major spike in traffic on the e-commerce platform and the majority of it was mobile traffic. And the strange thing is at that time Mobile Phones are not smart enough and from the 2G Internet facility also users visited the website. At this point, Manu Jain realized the power of smartphones in India as more and more people started buying smartphones and was investing a lot of their time on the different online platform and social media. All of a sudden, he developed an interest in running a smartphone brand in India.
Xiaomi was already aware of him and offered him the role of Managing Director and gave him the big responsibility of bringing Xiaomi to India and start its business in India.
Manu Kumar Jain soon proved his ability in business by making Xiaomi, India’s number one smartphone brand in terms of sales. Now he is also the Global Vice President of Xiaomi and Managing Director of Indian Subcontinent- India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. Currently, Xiaomi is the No. 1 smartphone brand in India in terms of the total number of smartphone sales.
In between co-founding Jabong.com and becoming the MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Jain also became a Board Member of a couple of o ther organizations such as KrazyBee and Hungama.
